Winshots System Snapshot :: Compatibility

Winshots System Snapshot has been tested on the following operating systems:

Windows® 95(B)
Windows® 98
Windows® ME
Windows® NT4.0 SP3 (or higher)
Windows® 2000 and Windows® 2003 Server
Windows® XP SP2

Snapshot supports long filenames and it can be used with DOS-only install programs as long as a Windows® OS is installed on your system so that System Snapshot can be run from there. (Winshots System Snapshot is a true 32-bit Windows® application)

Snapshot also works on network drives provided you have both read and write access to any network drives you'll be tracking. You should only turn on tracking for network drives that will clearly be involved in the installation. It's not practical to use Snapshot with every possible network configuration. There may be a configuration in which Snapshot will not work. If you discover such a configuration, please e-mail us your details to ensure it is supported in future releases.
